Albion Online Looks Back At A ‘Groundbreaking Year’ In Its Year-In-Review Address

It’s been a pretty eventful year for Albion Online and Sandbox Interactive is looking back at some of its highlights in the studio’s customary year-in-review blog for 2023. The main highlight, of course, is the opening of the Albion East servers for players located in the Asia Pacific region. The blog also touched on the major updates that arrived this year, including Knightfall and the game-changing Wild Blood update.
After taking a trip down memory lane, Sandbox Interactive proceeded to tease what’s coming in 2024, starting with the release of the release of the Crystal Raiders patch on January 8. The update promises to breathe new life into the guild warfare in the PvP sandbox MMORPG with the introduction of territory raiding alongside the addition of Crystal Weapons.
Crystal Raiders will also mark the studio’s transition to seasonal content releases with larger but more spaced out updates. In the meantime, Albion Online’s holiday event is still in full swing, featuring a Santa-themed boss named Old Uncle Frost who can be found hanging out by a Christmas Tree in Tier 4 to Tier 8 dungeons and has a chance to drop the extremely rare Yule Stag mount skin. The holiday event will end on January 7 in Albion East and January 8 in Albion West.
