Apex Legends Mobile might be shutting down in a few months but the original PC game looks like its here to stay for a few more years at least. Apex Legends is celebrating its 4th anniversary this month and will be marking the occasion with the start of a new season on Valentine’s Day, aptly called Revelry.

The highlight of the new season is a team deathmatch mode which will be available all throughout February. Players will also be able to take part in the anniversary collection event and will be able to claim login freebies during the first two weeks of the season.es

Starting in March, players can also look forward to the arrival of the battle royale shooter’s new Mixtape feature which will offer a regularly rotating roster of game modes, including team deathmatch, control, and gun run.

Unfortunately, the team won’t be adding a new character this upcoming season. Instead, they’ll be focusing on revamping the class system to categorize characters into one of five distinct classes with a unique perk for each class. In line with the revamp, players should also expect another balance pass with a particular focus on Wraith, Seer, and Lifeline.

Respawn will also be reworking the tutorial with various improvements planned for the firing range and stat tracking and strafing for training dummies, as well as the addition of Orientation Matches which will pit newbies against bots to help them get comfortable with the game’s core mechanics before they’re thrown into matches against actual players.

More information about the upcoming season can be found on the Revelry landing page, this dev blog, and the new season trailer below.
