ARC Raiders Has Been Upgraded From A PvP Shooter To An Extraction Shooter
With the recent popularity of PvPvE extraction shooters, Embark Studios has decided to expand the scope of ARC Raiders from a simple PvP shooter to… you guessed it, a PvPvE survival extraction shooter.
“ARC Raiders is a free-to-play, third-person, PvPvE extraction shooter set in a lethal future earth ravaged by a mechanized threat known as ARC. You’re a Raider, earning your keep in the struggling colony of Speranza, fighting for survival against ARC and other Raiders standing in your way.”
“Over the course of development, ARC Raiders has taken the shape of what we believe to be a truly promising PvPvE survival extraction shooter — a game that stays true to the ARC Raiders universe and we’re having a blast testing internally,” announced the devs.
Embark Studios plans to hold a closed alpha test this summer for those who want to take the game out for a test run in its new form. Do note that the playtest will be covered by an NDA so make sure to keep your experiences hush hush for the time being… or not. That’s definitely your call.
