ARK: Survival Ascended Heads Underground With Free Aberration Ascended Expansion
Calling all dino-wranglers! ARK: Survival Ascended just dropped its newest free expansion, Aberration Ascended, on PC, Xbox Series X/S, and PlayStation 5 – and it’s free! This remastered update for the remastered survival MMO revives the beloved Aberration map, packing it with fresh challenges and a whole lot of radiation.
Fifteen new creatures lurk in the subterranean shadows, the community-requested Yi Ling among them, each one requiring a unique strategy to tame or outrun. To help you navigate and conquer the treacherous irradiated underworld, Aberration Ascended also introduced over 50 craftable items and 30 new Engrams, including a hazmat suit and a wall-climbing pickaxe. From building tools to new gear, there’s plenty of room to customize your survival strategy.
“This expansion introduces a derelict ARK with a complex underground biome, challenging players with new hazards, creatures, and environments,” reads the official press release.
The update also kicked off a brand-new chapter in Bob’s Tall Tales, aptly called Steampunk Ascent. Featuring airships and the lovable robot companion SIR-5RM8 (voiced by Firefly and Rogue One star Alan Tudyk), the latest chapter in Bob’s adventures adds a fun narrative layer to your dino escapades.
