Studio Wildcard has finally confirmed a launch date for ARK: Survival Ascended’s highly awaited Scorched Earth DLC. Unfortunately, the UE5 remaster’s community will have to wait a bit longer than expected before they can start their survival adventures in the unforgiving desert and get their hands on Wild West-styled gear.

Scorched Earth was initially planned for release in March 2024 but has now been pushed back to April 1. Aside from opening up the new desert biome, the DLC will also come with the option to purchase the Frontier Adventure pack which will contain a collection of desert-themed goodies that promises to “make you the envy of any wasteland wanderer.”

The pack will feature various cowboy-themed outfits and accessories as well as the ability to build trains and lay train tracks across the arid desert landscape.

Before you go traipsing off into the desert, you’ll probably be spending a bit of time in The Center, a user-designed map that was included in the original game. Like The Island, the upcoming map features a wide range of biomes to explore and will be arriving alongside the Gigantoraptor as a free DLC at the end of February.

In the meantime, server transfers between official servers are set to be enabled on January 24 as Studio Wildcard continues to work on optimizing the game’s servers and performance while “battling exploits and hacks with a vengeance.”
