Battlefield 1 Announces System Requirements

After announcing a whopping 13.2 million people took part in the Battlefield 1 Open Beta, Electronic Arts has released the upcoming WWI shooter's system requirements. Better clean out your hard drives before October 21, 2016, and save up for a new graphics card (if you don't have one already):

Minimum Specs

  • OS: 64-bit Windows 7, Windows 8.1 and Windows 10
  • Processor: Intel Core i5 6600K or AMD FX-6350
  • Memory: 8GB RAM
  • Graphics card: Nvidia GeForce GTX 660 2GB or AMD Radeon HD 7850 2GB
  • DirectX: 11.0 Compatible video card or equivalent
  • Online Connection: 512 KBPS or faster Internet connection
  • HDD Space: 50GB

Recommended Specs

  • OS: 64-bit Windows 10 or later
  • Processor: Intel Core i7 4790 or AMD FX 8350 Wraith
  • Memory: 16GB RAM
  • Graphics card: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 3GB or AMD Radeon RX 480 4GB
  • DirectX: 11.1 Compatible video card or equivalent
  • Internet Connection: 512 KBPS or faster Internet connection
  • HDD Space: 50GB

Also, in a blog post Lead World Designer Daniel Berlin wrote that EA is making changes to BF1 based on player feedback. "We are making tweaks to the game mode as we speak with your feedback as the backbone to the entire process." Berlin writes. "We're also looking into balancing other elements, including the weapons and vehicles." Light tanks, my vehicle of choice during the beta, is getting a nerf and so are horses—they can soak up a few too many bullets.
