Battlerite Patch 0.10 Revamps Its Ranking System, Competitive Season 1 Begins

Battlerite Patch 0.10 went live yesterday, bringing with it a complete revamp of the game's ranking system. Whereas players were previously separated into "Grades," they are now separated into "Leagues," which are further separated into "Divisions." The Leagues are as follows: Bronze with 10 Divisions, Silver with 9 Divisions, Gold with 8 Divisions, Platinum with 7 Divisions, Diamond with 6 Divisions, Champion with 5 Divisions, and Grand Champion, which is not separated into Divisions.

When playing with other players, the team will now have a Team Rating that is used in matchmaking. Your team's skill level will be used, rather than individual skill levels, as it is said that this will improve the accuracy of both matchmaking and the rating itself. Queueing as a team will be supported for both 2v2 and 3v3, but only as a party of two or three respectively. Furthermore, when playing in League mode, teams will only be matched against other teams and solo players will only be matched against other solo players. Additionally, when playing as a team, you will now be able to set the team's name and choose an avatar to represent your team.

Competitive Season 1: Arctic Winds began today alongside the release of the ranking system revamp. Players will have a separate competitive season rating and they will earn rewards based on that rating at the end of the competitive season, including an exclusive avatar, chests, and tokens. If they queue with a team that is in a higher League than their solo queue League, they will receive rewards based on the team's League. Season 1 will last for two months, at which point the rankings will be reset, rewards will be distributed, and Season 2 will begin.
