Black Desert Online Korea GPU Test Results Conducted

Black Desert Online is a fairly graphically intensive game. If you've ever wondered just how graphically intensive it is, perhaps this chart might help. This chart—created by the Korean hardware community CoolEnjoy—was recently posted on a Facebook fanpage for Black Desert and then shared on Reddit. The tests were conducted on the Very High preset with High texture quality at 1920x1080 on a computer with an i7-4770K overclocked to 4.5 GHz, 8 GB of 2133 MHz DDR3 RAM, and Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit. To maintain a solid 60 frames per second on average in this environment, it was determined that you would need at least an AMD R9 290 4GB or an NVIDIA GTX 780 Ti 3GB. The original Reddit poster notes that these tests may not be accurate in the current NA/EU build. Optimizations are said to have been made in a recent patch for the KR version and these may be affecting the results slightly. Regardless of the case, there is no doubt that Black Desert has some fairly steep requirements.
