NCSoft continues to talk up Blade and Soul: Neo Classic with a pair of new previews that show off the reboot server’s remastered visuals in both blog form and video form. The previews focus on the Cinderlands and the visual improvements being made to the rebooted version of the desert region.

“We’ve completed the post-processing of the Scorching Sands with emphasis on the hot and dry atmosphere to immerse players in the scorching sun of the desert,” NCSoft reports. “We also tried to create a landscape that appears hazy from scattered sand dust to deliver the sense of being lost in the vast, empty desert. […] We are working hard to ensure that each region of the Cinderlands in NEO Classic feels unique and captivating.”

Executive director Hong Jae Kim also stars in a separate developer video where he talks about the team’s design and development goals for NEO Classic. That includes giving players more combat freedom by allowing animation cancelling for certain attacks. He also confirmed that NEO Classic will feature seven playable classes on launch and that equipment upgrades will be removed entirely from the reboot version except for soul and mystic badges.

Unfortunately, we’re still in the dark on when NEO Classic will be opening its doors, but we’ll be sure to keep you updated on any new developments.
