Blade and Soul Will Merge Servers, Major Update And A New Class Coming Soon

blade and soul pvpThe latest Blade and Soul Producer’s Letter from Jonathan Lien gives fans a brief account of what the team has been working on during the first half of 2017. The letter also contained a few important announcements, not the least of which is the merging of servers.

“To help all players have the ability to experience the new raids, we are consolidating servers on August 9. This will affect both North American and European servers—the end result being that all players will be transferred to two realms for North America (Yura and Zulia) and three for Europe (Jinsoyun, Eisenherz, and Naksun). We’ll have more details in the next few days, but to prepare for this, we’ll be disabling server transfers after the July 26 maintenance.”

Lien also talks about future updates, the upcoming Fortune Falls update, which includes a new event dungeon, and a major update called Dark Origins which will roll out in August. The Dark Origins update will continue the current story quests and will feature two new high level raids, a new dungeon, new cosmetic items and gear, and a number of system updates. The producer also hinted at a new class, although no other details were given on what the class will be or when the it will come out.

Lien also took the opportunity to thank the players who helped fund the Golden Lotus prize pool for the Blade and Soul Regional Championships which will soon be coming to a close. The EU Regional Championships will be held at gamescom on August 24th and the NA Championships at PAX West on September 3rd. Blade and Soul also held a North America Wildcard Tournament last July 22nd. You can catch the full tournament stream right after the break.
