Blizzard Entertainment is currently running several cross-game promotions to boost player numbers and subscriptions in some of their major titles in response to the fallout caused by the ongoing sexual harassment scandal and other company blunders over the past few years. It stands to reason that the studio will want to beef up their playerbase with the third fiscal quarter coming to a close at the end of the month.

In World of Warcraft, players who purchase a six-month subscription will be rewarded with an exclusive Sapphire Skyblazers mount in Retail and an Imp in a Ball toy in Classic as well as various Hearthstone goodies.

“Once you’ve purchased your subscription, you’ll receive 15 card packs to United in Stormwind, a Tavern Pass, and Battleground Perks. You’ll receive an additional 15 Mercenaries card packs with the release of Mercenaries on October 12. As an additional bonus, you’ll also receive 15 card packs from a future Hearthstone expansion along with 15 Mercenaries card packs, a Tavern Pass, and Battleground perks at a future date.”

Over at the WoW-inspired collectible card game, Hearthstone players who complete the Mercenaries tutorial when it comes out will unlock Sarge, Harth Stonebrew’s pet mouse, as a mount in World of Warcraft. The new Mercenaries game mode comes out on October 12th. There’s also a Diablo Mercenaries bundle available for pre-purchase now if you want to get ahead of the pack.
