Conan Exiles’ new project director, Rod Harper, looks back at all the work they’ve done in the multiplayer survival game in the past year and offers a preview of their plans for 2023 in a new Producer’s Letter. According to Harper, the team’s main focus this year will be to fix bugs and optimize the game to improve the overall player experience.

“Our development team has already been working on performance optimizations on the consoles, and we recently released an interim performance update on the Public Beta client, which will go live before the release of Age of Sorcery — Chapter 3 that will address several issues on all platforms,” revealed Harper.

He also said that they’re currently addressing concerns over regional pricing on Steam and will be giving the modding community more attention alongside the development of a new Age. “We have so far released the first and second chapters of the Age of Sorcery in 2022 which will wrap up with the release of Age of Sorcery — Chapter 3,” noted the project director. “Following that release, we will move into the next Age with a new set of game features, a new story, and new Battle Pass and Bazaar items, in the same chapter-based release cadence, and these will continue to be free updates to the game.”

Funcom has yet to announce a release date for the said content updates but, based on the previous chapter releases, we can probably expect Chapter 3 to launch within the next two months or so. In the meantime, you can check out a preview of what’s to come in Rod Harper’s Producer’s Letter on the Conan Exiles official site as well as a look at some of the more popular mods used in the game in the video below.
