Conan Exiles is preparing to usher in a new age as Funcom confirms a launch date for its next big expansion, Age of Heroes. Chapter 1 of the expansion is set to launch on October 17, promising to breathe new life into the survival game, and we mean that literally—your thralls are about to get a whole lot livelier.

First announced back in August, Age of Heroes will introduce a host of new features, with fully voiced heroes leading the charge. “Soon, you will accompany fully voiced heroes as their legend is made, eventually recruiting them as companions to your cause,” Funcom explains. These companions will gain unique perks based on your actions during epic quests—so choose wisely!

One of the most exciting additions is the introduction of Living Settlements. Your worker thralls will now roam your base, reacting to the world around them. No more lifeless minions staring into the void—your thralls will have daily routines, making your stronghold feel like an actual bustling settlement. Funcom has made it clear this update is focused on quality and immersion, moving away from the grind of battle passes and instead delivering content that truly enhances gameplay.
