Crate Entertainment Teases New Grim Dawn Content, Announces New Strategy Game
It’s been a very productive year for Grim Dawn developer, Crate Entertainment, in spite of the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic. According to their latest dev blog, they’ve rolled out three major updates, five smaller ones, and hundreds of balance patches for the online ARPG during the past year. The studio revealed that they’re now working on the next big update for the game.
“As you may have hoped, we are nearly finished with v1.1.9.0, our latest major addition to the game,” said Crate Entertainment. The upcoming update will fix a well-known exploit in the Shattered Realm but will also legalize it going once the update hits the servers. The team explains:
“Alongside the newness we are also doing away with a well-known exploit. However, as the gameplay it enabled in the Shattered Realm Guardian Domains has become popularized by the current meta, we are going to simply make it possible to pull bosses without resorting to gimmicky abuse of game mechanics. Should be a refreshing change for those that have been playing with camera zoomed in, rotated, flipped inside out and inverted for the sake of pushing higher shards! All this comes packed with nearly 300 changes to items, so there is something for everyone to look forward to.”
The Massachusetts-based studio also revealed that they’re working on a new single-player strategy game called Farthest Frontier.
