Dauntless Officially Launches On The Epic Games Store And Consoles With Full Cross-Platform Support

dauntless slayers stopMonster-slaying MMORPG Dauntless has officially launched worldwide on the Epic Games Store, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. The official launch and console debut fulfills developer Phoenix Labs’ vision of “One Dauntless” and their promise of providing “true cross-play functionality across all platforms.” “One Dauntless” allows players to take the game and their accounts wherever they go and team up with other players regardless of their platform and where they are in the world.

“After a year in Open Beta and a ton of great feedback from over 3 million Dauntless players, we’re proud to bring our game to console and expand our PC audience through the Epic Games store,” says Phoenix Labs CEO and Co-Founder Jesse Houston. “When we first started talking about ‘One Dauntless,’ we knew it was a truly audacious goal. No one has ever launched on console with full cross-play support from the start, but we believed in our vision and, thankfully, our friends at Epic Games, Sony, and Microsoft did too. Keeping the community connected is one of our top priorities, and with all the new players coming in at launch, there’s never been a better time to be a Slayer in Dauntless.”

The cross-platform launch version of the game comes with the reworked campaign, the new “End of Hunt” screen, and the highly-awaited Mastery System. “The Mastery system offers a new way for players to hone their skills, earn experience, unlock achievements, and acquire new rewards,” says Phoenix Labs. “Each Behemoth and weapon has its own unique Mastery card for players to delve into.”

The new Hidden Blades Hunt Pass also kicks off today introducing Moon Blossom Festival-themed décor, and a new lineup of exclusive assassin-themed gear. Like previous Hunt Pass seasons, Slayers will need to get through 50 levels of Basic and Elite content to get their hands on the new gear.

To cap things off, there’s also a shiny new trailer waiting for you after the jump.
