Defiance 2050 Officially Launching on July 10 for PS4, Xbox, and PC

Trion Worlds announced earlier this week that the remake of their sci-fi MMORPG shooter Defiance, titled Defiance 2050, will be launching on July 10, 2018 for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. While the core gameplay mechanics between the original and remake are largely the same, Defiance 2050 features slightly improved graphics and simpler more streamlined game mechanics. Open beta for the PC version is set to run from June 22 to June 25 and will be open to all. Founders packs for Defiance 2050 are available on the PC now while they go on sale for Xbox on June 19th and July 6th for PS4.

Not everyone is happy with the Defiance 2050 though. Players will not be able to transfer their characters over to the new version of the game and will instead have to start over from scratch. On top of that, some of the streamlined gameplay feels like the developers dumbed down customization a bit too.
