Following a year-long delay because of COVID-19, The Witch Queen expansion has finally arrived in Destiny 2 featuring the addition of the new Throne World zone, a whole new Deepsight-based crafting system, a new glaive-type melee weapon, the new Vow of the Disciple raid, and the new Wellspring six-player dungeon. The expansion’s release also marks the start of a new season called Season of the Risen.

“The first entry in the final trilogy of Destiny 2’s ‘Light & Darkness Saga,’ The Witch Queen sees Guardians discovering powerful new abilities and facing extraordinary challenges as they protect the solar system from the enemies of humanity.

Both The Witch Queen expansion and Season of the Risen will follow Guardians as they battle to take back the Light from the Hive god, Savathûn. After more than a year spent unraveling the deceptions of the Witch Queen, Guardians will take the fight directly to Savathûn as they explore the mysterious seat of her power, the Throne World, a new destination in Destiny 2”

The Vow of the Disciple raid will officially open its doors on March 5th, giving players time to prepare for the challenge. The first fireteam to complete the raid will be rewarded with the exclusive World First title and a one-of-a-kind title belt to go along with it.
