Devilian Producer's Letter Talks Pet Fusion, Mega Servers, PvP Changes, And More

Devilian's latest Producer's Letter is here. After nearly four months without a Producer's Letter, Andrew "Drewcifer" Sipotz is back to discuss upcoming changes being made to the game.

A new Spring event will be launching soon with "spring themed rewards." Spring themed costumes will be made available in the cash shop when the event launches.

The Spring update that launches the event will also include Pet Fusion. Similar to Neverwinter's new mount system, players will be able to mix and match pet abilities, making the pets themselves more cosmetic than functional. The intention is to allow players to make use of an ability without having to switch out the pet they want to use.

A new monster called a Demon Imp will now randomly spawn. If players can kill it quickly, they will be granted "a huge reward."

The level requirement to join 20v20 battleground PvP is being lowered to 25. Low level players will be given a boost when partaking in battleground PvP so that they are not completely outmatched.

To help with long PvP queues due to the fact that there are so many modes, Depraved Temple is being made a weekly event. Players will no longer be able to access it from the queue.

Mega servers are coming, but Trion doesn't want to make the move unless it is absolutely sure that the transition will be a smooth one. The current estimate is that it will take "more than a few weeks."
