Dragon Quest X Is Headed To Nintendo Switch This Fall

We've known that Dragon Quest X would eventually be launching on Nintendo Switch since the Nintendo Switch event that was held on January 13th, but we didn't quite know when it would be launching on Nintendo Switch. During the most recent Nintendo Direct, it was announced that the Dragon Quest series' only MMORPG would be launching on Nintendo Switch this fall.

Given that Dragon Quest X has only been released in Japan thus far, the Nintendo Switch version will be a Japan exclusive for the foreseeable future. You may remember that a Chinese version is currently in Beta, but it appears that the Chinese version will only be available on PC and thus, the Switch version will not be available in China. I know that many people were hopeful that the Switch version would bring with it an English localization, but that is not the case.

The Wii version of Dragon Quest X was shut down earlier this year, but it was announced at the time that Wii players would be given a chance to transfer their data to the Switch version for free upon release. The details of that offer have yet to be unveiled.
