Dual Universe backers will finally be reaping the physical rewards of their support as developer Novaquark begins shipping out Kickstarter rewards, eight years after the crowfunding campaign ended. The studio blames shipping costs and issues with shipping partners but is now making considerable headway.

The studio reports that the tedious process of shipping out the physical swag is nearly complete. They’re currently shipping out Silver tier packages and will soon be ready to ship rewards for Gold and Sapphire tier backers. Ruby, Emerald, and Kyrium tier backers, however, will have to wait a bit longer as they’re still currently being processed. If you fall into the latter tiers, the team asks that you verify your mailing address via this form.

As for the game itself, it’s been a while since it last saw a major update, the last one being in June 2023. Since then, it’s mostly been in-game events, balance tweaks, and fixes. It’s a relatively quiet start to the year for the sci-fi sandbox MMO considering that most studios, big and small alike, have already started ticking off various content and features from their respective 2024 roadmaps.
