Sci-fi Sandbox Dual Universe Pre-Alpha Release Set For September 30th
In a recent press release, French indie-developer Novaquark revealed their plans to release a Pre-Alpha version of their sci-fi sandbox MMORPG Dual Universe on September 30th.
“Dual Universe is a Continuous Single-Shard sandbox MMORPG taking place in a vast Sci-Fi universe, focusing on emergent gameplay with player-driven in-game economy, politics, trade and warfare. Players can freely modify the voxel-based universe by creating structures, spaceships or giant orbital stations, giving birth to empires and civilizations.”
“We are very excited and impatient to get our first players inside Dual Universe,” says Novaquark CEO Jean Christophe-Baillie. “We still have much work to do, so we just renamed the access into “Pre-Alpha” instead of “Alpha”, but we did not want to delay it, as it's very important for us and the community in terms of timing to receive early feedback.”
Only Gold-level backers and above ($140+) will be given access to the Pre-Alpha version. If you’re interested, you have until September 7th to pledge. Founders Packs will go on sale after Septermber 7th. As of today, the game crowdfunding campaign has received over $800,000 worth of pledges and millions more from private investors adding up to over $7.4 Million in total funding.
