Dual Universe To Have Subscription Model Similar To Eve Online

Dual Universe will offer a subscription model analogous to Eve Online, whereby players can pay a monthly subscription with cash or earn enough virtual credits in-game to pay their dues. So if you got the moolah, then the game will be—in a sense—free-to-play. Just like everyday life, the rich get the perks.

The information comes to us thanks to an interview with Dual Universe Founder & Creative Director Jean-Christophe Baillie on WCCFtech.

Dual Universe is currently on KickStarter, having raised $415,000 of its $562,334 goal with 14 days to go. I've had my eyes on the game for its enormous universe and player-built mega structures. It's an ambitious project lead by people who seem to know what they're doing.

But we wont get our hands on Dual Universe anytime soon. The first alpha test will start in the first half of 2017 and beta will hopefully begin in the early months of 2018.
