Dual Universe, Upcoming Crowdfunded MMO, set to go live with Pre-Alpha on September 30th.

Dual Universe's developers, the studio Novaquark, has announced that it has almost completed the first critical phase of development of its "Flagship MMO title," Dual Universe.

Thanks to a highly successful Kickstarter campaign - the 3rd most funded video game of 2016, at that - Dual Universe is going to be moving into Pre-Alpha on September 30th, 2017. Backers who pledged at the Gold Founder level and above, prior to Sept. 7th, 2017, will have access to the Pre-Alpha build when it goes live. Additionally, Press attending either Gamescom, or PAX West, will have the opportunity to experience this build.

“We are very excited and impatient to get our first players inside Dual Universe. We still have much work to do, so we just renamed the access into “Pre-Alpha” instead of “Alpha”, but we did not want to delay it, as it's very important for us and the community in terms of timing to receive early feedback”, - JC Baillie, CEO at Novaquark

"Dual Universe is a new type of massively-multiplayer online experience: it takes place in a vast Sci-Fi universe, focusing on emergent gameplay and content building, with player-driven in-game economy, politics, trade and warfare. The vision for Dual Universe is to create the first virtual online civilization."

You can check out Dual Universe if you're attending Gamescom or PAX West at the French Pavilion (Hall 4.1), Booth #D13, or Exhibition Hall Booth 5006, Sixth floor, for Gamescom and PAX West respectively. And based on what we've seen so far - Dual Universe might just be one of "those games" that end up being massively successful. It certainly looks stunning, to say the least.
