Elite: Dangerous Players Destroyed Their First Thargoid Titan After A Week-Long Battle

Elite: Dangerous Update 18 asks players to “Kill the Titans” as they go on the offensive against the Thargoid invaders, and so they did. Last weekend saw the defeat of the first of the Thargoid Titans, marking a major victory for humans in the long-running Thargoid War.

It took a roughly a week for players to take down the massive Taranis Titan spacecraft but their persistence eventually paid off in the form of premium currency rewards. “The top 10% of contributors to each heart receive 400 Arx, so up to 3200 Arx is available per Titan,” Frontier Developments explains. “A minimum of 100 Arx will be awarded for each heart, as long as you engage the heat source at least once.”
