CCP Games Adds New EVE Online Omega Subscription Plans With Bigger Discounts

A few months ago, CCP Games decided to bump up the price of its EVE Online Omega subscription for all existing plans. As you might expect from any price hike, the announcement didn’t sit well with the space sandbox MMORPG’s community. The studio is now hoping to entice more players to subscribe to the VIP program with new subscription options.

CCP Games has added new 3, 6, and 24-month plans in addition to the existing ones and is now offering a bigger discount for year-long subscriptions. “The introduction of the new Omega options and the new pricing means a wider range of per-month savings are available. In short, the more you spend in PLEX, the more you save off the full monthly cost of Omega,” the studio said.

Upgrading to an Omega subscription removes the skill cap placed on Alpha accounts, allowing subscribers to train and progress two times faster than everyone else. Subscribers also gain access to exclusive Omega skills, over 350 free ships, and unimpeded access to the contracts system, in addition to lower taxes on research and manufacturing jobs.
