Fairy Companions Have Arrived In The PS4 Version Of Black Desert Online

Fairy companions have been part of Black Desert Online PC for more than a year, and the Xbox One since August. With the release of the Fairy Update for Sony’s flagship console, PlayStation 4 players will now get to team up with the adorable Fairy Laila on their adventures across Kamasylvia.

Laila is a fairy companion with the ability to cast a number of useful buffs including instant resurrection, auto-potion, increased weight limit, cures, and lighting dark areas. Here’s how to get your very own fairy:

“Fairies can be obtained through the item ‘Sealed Fairy Wings’. When you use this item, you will gain a new fairy Laila who will accompany you through your journey. Your first set of Sealed Fairy Wings will come from a Black Spirit Quest. To accept the ‘Fairy Queen Theiah’ quest from the Black Spirit, you will need to be at least level 52, and have completed all of the Calpheon Main Quests (Including the Witch Hunting quest).

Once you have completed this quest line, you will be given your first set of Sealed Fairy Wings. Use the item to summon your first fairy companion.”

Fairies come in four tiers which corresponds to their innate potential: Faint, Glimmering, Brilliant, and Radiant. A fairy’s tier affects her maximum level and the number of skills she can learn. Additional Sealed Fairy Wings can be earned by completing a repeatable quest from Theiah in Mediah. Keep in mind that you can only have on Fairy Companion at a time.
