You may have forgotten about Pathfinder Online, the MMORPG based on the tabletop RPG Pathfinder, the saga of which could very well be turned into its own A Series of Unfortunate Events, but the game is still in development with its skeleton crew at Goblinworks. The team expects to release a new update in February that introduces Siege Camps, Siege Engines, and Settlement Warfare, which was announced in a developer blog that was confusingly named "Settlement Warfare is on the March."

But that's not all that's happening with the game. The company that had previously looked into acquiring Pathfinder Online spent most of 2016 looking for funding, during which Acting CEO Lisa Stevens says that she had "been on the sidelines as much as you all have." The end of 2016, however, brought new opportunities for Goblinworks. Stevens says that she "had the good fortune to be introduced to the CEO of one of the largest digital games agencies in the world." Said CEO is currently examining Pathfinder Online and looking into "possibilities for the game’s further development." What's more, Stevens says that she may receive the first round of feedback "by the end of January."

The end result is that there are now two outside agencies looking into the future of Pathfinder Online. While nothing is certain, Goblinworks has committed to making 2017 a better year for Pathfinder Online than 2016 was.
