Pathfinder Online Might Be Taken Over By New Company

Goblinworks' Acting CEO Lisa Stevens posted her end of the year address last night following their open Q&A session earlier in the day. It's been a rough year for the fantasy sandbox game, but it appears that it will be ending on a good note. A company has sent a signed letter of intent to take Pathfinder Online and finish it. Supposedly, "one of the principals of this company has been playing Pathfinder Online since day 1 and understands the vision for the game [Goblinworks] are making."

However, it's not certain yet whether or not this acquisition will occur. The company in question is currently working to secure funding for the takeover. It apparently looks "very positive on that front right now," but those that are excited about this news should remain cautiously optimistic. Should things go well, they should have full control of Pathfinder Online by March 1, 2016.

While they are handling the business side of things, the current Pathfinder Online team will continue polishing the game. Vaults for personal, company, and settlement use have all be added. Auctions have been extended to a month from their original length of a week. Cloaks and packs can now be shown on characters. These new additions are scheduled to go live in January.
