Heroes & Generals Releases Major Content Update

Reto-Moto has released their Young update for Heroes and Generals (named after US brigadier-general Gordon Russell Young), featuring a new map, new game mode, new weapons, and adjustments to the first person experience.

Immersion is intensified thanks to camera shakes, and on-screen effects will taint your camera with blood and dust. Adjustments to movement have also been made to provide a more realistic experience. Perhaps my favorite feature is prone-mode has been adjusted. Players can now crawl under tables and through pipes, enabling surreptitious tactics to pop conspicuous craniums.

Players joining warbattles as one of the lesser popular factions will now earn bonus experience for helping the underdog. It's a neat way to balance factions and incentive equanimity among the teams.

The infantry only game mode tasks players with capturing a single objective and defending it against their opponents. It's a perfect map to force fierce clashes between soldiers in a concentrated area, rather than the typically spread out firefights that decorate vehicle-featured maps.

The Depot encounter map is a series of trenches surrounding a central train depot. The compact map brings with it a new spawn protection mechanic to protect death upon rejoining the fight.

There are a host of other fixes and updates that can be learned about through the video below or by visiting the Steam update post.
