Heroes Of The Storm Increases All Hero Base Movement Speeds In Latest Balance Patch

heroes of the storm front bannerIf you’ve played Heroes of the Storm recently you might have noticed your heroes moving a little bit faster than they usually do. Don’t worry, that’s not a glitch. It’s all part of the latest balance patch that the devs rolled out earlier this week. The patch increases all Heroes’ base movement speed by 10%.

“We were evaluating this change last year for the gameplay updates but wanted some more time to soak it. While this is a modest increase, we feel like it makes the game feel a bit snappier, especially while in combat. We will be carefully watching how this affects Heroes with lots of skillshots and will balance as needed.”

The patch also comes with a slew of balance changes for a large number of Heroes. Anub’arak’s Harden Carapace cooldown time has been increased by one second while his Epicenter’s has been reduced by .25 seconds. Zeratul, on the other hand, has received significant changes to his Wormhole ability. “With this change, Zeratul will have to commit for a little over 1 second to where he teleports to before being able to return to his starting location, which should give opponents who are paying attention to him time to punish him for mistakes.”

You’ll find a detailed list of the changes in the full patch notes.
