Kakao Games Officially Hands Over Black Desert Online Publishing To Pearl Abyss

Kakao Games bids farewell to Black Desert Online players in North America and Europe as live operations and publishing responsibilities officially transfers to Pearl Abyss later today. The transfer was first announced in December 2020 during the digital Calpheon Ball. Account transfers started in January and will continue until May 31 on the old website.

The game servers are currently down for maintenance along with the new Pearl Abyss site as game data is transferred to the new servers. The new Pearl Abyss servers should be back up later today at 2pm PST. The game will also not be available for purchase on Steam while the data transfer is underway.
