LawBreakers Closed Beta 2 Begins May 18th With Tons Of New Content

Thanks to Nexon Developers Conference 17, we've known since late last month that LawBreakers' second Closed Beta weekend would be held this weekend, but it wasn't until today that Nexon America finally confirmed it and unveiled what new content would be included. Surprisingly, there's quite a lot of new content to look forward to.

A new role called the "Wraith" is being introduced. The character is considered to be a "cyber ninja" that can wall jump, triple jump, slide across the ground, and slow down time. Its weapons are an automatic pistol that "you'll want to fire in short bursts" and an exploding knife that it can stab opponents with.

A new mode called "Blitzball" offers another new take on one flag Capture the Flag. A ball is located in the center of the map. Each team must grab the ball and take it to the other team's goal while a "shot clock" counts down. If the shot clock hits zero, the ball explodes. The ball itself talks to you, either complimenting or insulting you based on how you play, and is apparently voiced by someone very recognizable.

Also included are custom matches, a spectator mode, a new map called "Reactor," an "Exclusive Beta Kick Decal for Beta participants," and more.

Closed Beta 2 is set to begin at 9 AM PDT / 12 PM EDT on May 18th and end at 9 PM PDT on May 21st / 12 AM EDT on May 22nd. Anyone who plays at least three matches within the first two hours of the Beta will be entered to win a replica of the in-game weapon the Aerator, an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080, or a Logitech G Peripherals pack, which includes a keyboard, mouse, headset, and mouse pad. A separate giveaway with identical prizes will give players one entry per match played throughout the weekend.
