Signups are now open for the next Mad World alpha test happening later this month. The cross-platform ARPG’s third alpha test will kick off on October 25th at 6:30pm PDT and will run until October 31st at 2am PDT.

Aside from testing out new features and content, developer Jandisoft also plans to have over 20,000 players online at the same time to find out if the servers can cope with the extreme load.

Mad World is an upcoming fantasy ARPG where players will get to explore a post-apocalyptic world inhabited by dangerous creatures and the remaining survivors of an unknown world-ending event. The game was initially supposed to launch on Steam in 2018 but alpha testing was later pushed back to 2019 just before the developers went silent as they tried to broker a publishing deal with Netmarble.

Jandisoft resurfaced a few months later with plans to launch the game in the summer of 2020, which never happened, before once again falling into radio silence after December 2020. The team reemerged again last month, announcing the game’s second alpha test along with a fully-playable browser version of the game.
