Remember how Crytek closed five of its studios after failing to make payroll last month? The Crytek saga continues to look shaky, as, starting next month, My.com will be taking over as Warface's official publisher in North America and Europe. Meanwhile, Crytek will continue to develop the game and publish the game in Turkey.

The official announcement states that "this new partnership will allow Crytek to focus on the development aspect while bringing more content and updates to Warface, which will in turn bring more opportunities for fans and players of the game alike," but it seems more like a byproduct of intense restructuring. Fortunately, "Crytek and My.com have developed a plan for a smooth transition of operation of players’ accounts," so players can rest easy knowing that their overall experience will be relatively unaffected. Perhaps more importantly, however, is the fact that the move to My.com's platform means that you will never have to use GFACE again.

Crytek Founder and Managing Director Faruk Yerli had the following to say about the announcement.

Crytek and My.com are excited about the transition and look forward to the considerable growth of the game in North America and Europe. My.com team knows the Warface game exceedingly well, thanks to the operation expertise of its parent company Mail.Ru, which is a close partner of Crytek and has been successfully operating Warface in CIS countries for 4 years and made the game one of the leading online shooter game in CIS with a total player base exceeding 40 million registered players.
