Neverwinter And Star Trek Online Drop Support For Windows XP

It's been a rough few weeks for those who are still using Windows XP, which has been around for over 15 years now. First, Blizzard Entertainment drops support for the platform and now, both Neverwinter and Star Trek Online have dropped support for "Windows XP and Direct3D9" and "Video Cards with a Direct3D Hardware Feature Level less than 10.0"—you can find the relevant announcements here and here, respectively.

It's not surprising that companies would want to move away from the platform, especially when you consider the fact that it was originally made available to the public in 2001. Ultimately, I imagine that the majority of users have long since upgraded to some other version of Windows or another, a suspicion that is at least true in terms of Blizzard's audience.

Was anyone out there playing either of these MMOs on Windows XP?
