New Lunar Assault Map Goes Now Live With Latest Overwatch Update

Remember that new lunar assault map that we told you about a few weeks ago? Well, it’s finally up and running in the latest Overwatch update. Players can now fight it out in the Horizon Lunar Colony complex, a mostly indoor map that subtly tells the backstory of one of the most iconic characters in the game, the super-intelligent gorilla – Winston.

“In this map, one of the things we wanted to do was start to show some of the beads of the story that caused Winston to leave the colony and head to Earth. Gorillas were being experimented on and ultimately the gorillas took over the Horizon Lunar Colony.

One room over here, everything’s nice and organized, the next room over tables are overturned and there’s footprints. Looks like a forensic detective walking into a scene and trying to reconstruct what happened.”

Aside from a new map, the update also includes new legendary skins and the ability to create custom games, along with various hero updates and bug fixes.
