New World Adds Two New Servers And Previews The Greatsword
Amazon Game Studios has opened two new servers in New World as the MMORPG’s population continues to rise ahead of Brimstone Sands’ release next week. The Central EU and US East regions get one new server each on top of the seven new servers that were opened last month in response to the massive influx of players over the summer.
The studio has also updated the server heat map to give players more accurate information on which servers to avoid when creating a new character or which ones to transfer to in order to avoid long queues.

Meanwhile, the developers are gearing up for the launch of a new Halloween event called Nightveil Hallow. The event is currently in testing on the public test realm and will task players with fending off Baalphazu, the Marquis of Terror, and his army of Pumpkinites. No start date has yet been announced for the event.
Amazon has also dropped a new Brimstone Sands trailer showcasing the new Greatsword weapon type which players will be able to get their hands on when the expansion comes out on October 18th. You can check out the said trailer right after the jump.
