New World Shows The Blunderbuss In Action In A New Spotlight Trailer
Over the past few weeks, Amazon Game Studios has been teasing a brand new weapon coming to New World – the Blunderbuss. As part of their efforts to hype up the weapon, the team has released a new video that highlights its crowd control abilities and shows it in action.
The Blunderbuss is a close to mid-range weapon that offers players a high degree of mobility while they blast away at enemies. As with other weapons in the survival MMORPG, players will have access to two masteries, each with its own distinct playstyle. Containment focuses on keeping enemies at bay and maintaining optimal attack distance, while Chaos is all about delivering a barrage of AoE attacks from short to medium range.
“A gun is a tool. When the job calls for carnage, the best tool is a Blunderbuss. This bugger is short but stout. Two shots in the barrel and a bullet spread that makes the concept of aiming seem antiquated. So when you need to clear a crowd and you want to get it done up close and personal, keep a Blunderbuss at your side. But remember, it’s not the tool that counts, it’s how you wield it.”
The Blunderbuss will be coming to the game as part of the Heart of Madness update which is scheduled to arrive sometime this month, presumably next week. The update and the new weapon is now live on the Public Test Realm if you want to check it out before it hits the live servers.
