New World’s is getting another update to its PvP rewards in an effort to bring more players into the 3v3 Arena. The newly-released PvP mode apparently isn’t getting enough attention and Amazon is doing everything it can to encourage players to queue up for it. That includes reducing the PvP rewards gained from other PvP-related activities.

Update 1.5.3 patches in adjustments to PvP faction mission rewards as part of Amazon’s efforts to align them with other PvP activities like the Arenas and Outpost Rush. The Azoth Salt rewards for completing PvP faction missions have been reduced from 300 to 200 while PvP XP earned from them has been reduced from 500 to 350. Additionally, the Great Cleave “Retrieve” and “Control Point” missions now reward players with less Salt and PvP XP because the studio says that they take less time to complete compared to the other missions.

“Players can now focus on their favorite PvP activities with less concern over whether their time would be better spent doing one specific activity to optimize rewards,” said Amazon.

The full patch notes can be found on the New World official site.
