Nexon Teases Project BBQ - A New Action MMORPG Developed By Neople (DFO 3D?)

Nexon unveiled Project BBQ today which looks a lot like a 3D version of the company's enormously successful Dungeon Fighter Online. While the name 'Dungeon Fighter' is absent from the trailer the game is developed by Neople, the same studio behind Dungeon Fighter.

Project BBQ is a 3D action MMORPG built on Unreal Engine 4 and will likely be releasing in South Korea sometime in 2019. No word about any kind of international release or even a proper name for the game, but I suspect it'll make its way overseas after it launches in South Korea.

While I'm hoping this isn't just another instanced dungeon persistent hub style game, I have a feeling it's going to be. Still, the combat mechanics look fast paced and fluid. If Nexon can replicate their success on Dungeon Fighter Online in a 3D environment, they'll make boatloads of cash.
