Overwatch 2nd Anniversary Festivities Go Live On May 22
Overwatch is turning two later this month and Blizzard Entertainment is all set for their online shooter’s second birthday bash. The festivities start on May 22nd and will run until June 12th for the PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
“Overwatch Anniversary will bring in a host of new content, including more than 50 fresh cosmetic items and the newest Deathmatch map, Petra! Additionally, the event will bring back all seasonal cosmetic items, as well as some past seasonal brawls.”
Aside from Petra, the event will also introduce a new Competitive mode with placement matches, skill ratings, and leaderboards. Also, players who login during the event will also get a Legendary Anniversary Loot Box which is guaranteed to contain one Legendary item.
If you haven’t played the game yet, you can do so during the Overwatch Free Weekend which will run from May 25th through May 29th. The new Overwatch Legendary Edition will also come out on May 22nd which will include Legendary, Epic, and Origin skin sets. Check out the Overwatch official site for more info.
