Palworld’s Next Update Expected This Week, Presumably With Better Anti-Cheat Measures

Surprise hit Palworld is expecting its next update this week, and while not much is known about the patch, its probably going to introduce more quality-of-life features and better anti-cheating measures. The Pokémon-like survival MMO’s early access roadmap also teased the addition of new islands, new Pals, and new bosses, although it’s unclear whether any of those will be included in the update. Highly unlikely, but we can still hope.

Refined anti-cheating measures, however, will likely be the focus of the next update. In a recent Discord post, community manager Bucky insists that cheating isn’t as widespread as most players seem to believe but they want to address the issue sooner rather than later following reports that some players are having trouble logging-in due to cheating and other illicit behavior.

The update could also bring the Xbox version up to par with the Steam version of the game as the former is still missing some key features that have been on PC since launch. That includes the ability to rename the main character and Pals.

In any case, we’ll be finding out exactly what’s included in the update within the next few days as it’s scheduled to come out by the end of the month barring any unexpected issues. We’ll keep you posted.
