It’s been a while since we last covered Past Fate, but it looks like it’s is doing pretty well considering that it almost didn’t reach its Kickstarter funding goal for the second time. In fact, the indie fantasy MMORPG just received a major update that introduces a new faction, it’s first PvP battleground, and a whole host of improvements.

With the release of Patch 0.3.2, players can now join the Valfalk faction, one of the two factions vying for dominance of in the dangerous and magic-filled world of Nendhir. Do note that while Valfalk is now playable, it’s still a work-in-progress and is missing quest givers, NPCs, and craftable items, unlike the opposing Morsath faction which has almost been completed.

The game’s first-ever PvP battleground has also opened its doors, giving players a chance to experience all-out faction warfare. The current version offers faction warfare at it’s very basic form without objectives, timers, or queues and can be accessed via Battlemasters in the starting villages.

The latest update also revamps the quest system and adds quest-related quality-of-life improvements such as reward indicators for each quest, a quest log, as well as a mini-map compass that shows the location of quest givers, vendors, and stations. New crafting materials have also been added along with unlockable “secrets.” The full patch notes can be found here.

Past Fate is currently in closed alpha with plans for a full release in late 2022.
