Path Of Exile Producer Says ‘NFTs Can F*ck Off’, Royale+Brutus Second Leg Begins Tomorrow
With the recent rise in the popularity of blockchain games and NFT’s, more and more mainstream video game companies are thinking about adopting the virtual currency for both existing and future games. Path of Exile fans, however, can rest easy knowing that Grinding Gear Games will never dabble in blockchain gaming.
The revelation comes in response to one fan’s tweet concerning the possibility of NFTs in the classic MMORPG. “With the state of the industry I’ve been haunted by the fever dream of GGG bringing NFTs to PoE,” read the tweet. “Can you imagine? Introducing the latest Mystery Box now with the chance to contain a NFT of hideout decoration concept art.
Grinding Gear’s community director Bex replied with: “I showed Chris [Wilson] this tweet and he said to say ‘Chris says NFTs can fuck off.’”
Guess NFTs are on a sure path to exile... ba dum tsss!
Meanwhile, the event-filled December continues in Path of Exile with the Endless Heist event running until Friday, December 24th and the second leg of the Royale + Brutus event set to begin tomorrow.
