Phoenix Labs will be making it easier for you to swap your equipment loadouts when Patch 0.9.3 rolls out in early September. Currently, you have to swap out each piece of equipment manually, but come patch day, all you’ll have to do is simply press a button.

“Each hunt in Dauntless offers a unique challenge for Slayers. Surviving requires a carefully customized and crafted arsenal of gear. Very soon, Slayers will be able to create multiple loadout slots, saving weapons, armour pieces, cells, cosmetics, and more! Spend less time swapping gear and more time slaying Behemoths – sounds good, right?”

The upcoming feature will let you save multiple loadouts and switch between them on the fly. Saved loadouts include weapons, weapon mods, weapon specials, armor, armor dyes, cells, transmogs, and consumables. Your Slayer’s appearance, emotes, banners, flares, and other style-related options will remain the same when switching between loadouts.

Slayers initially start off with one loadout slot and will be able to unlock up to five additional slots by completing the “City on the Verge” and “Into the Maelstrom” quests and by levelling up their Mastery. If six slots aren’t enough, Phoenix Labs is also giving players the option to purchase up to nine more slots from the in-game store for 1000 platinum/3 slots.

According to Phoenix Labs, they were planning to roll out the feature ahead of Patch 0.9.3 but decided to delay its launch to give them time to polish it up. “Recently, in an effort to get content into the hands of the community as quickly as possible, we’ve shipped features in a rougher state than we are proud of,” says the studio. “As a studio, Phoenix Labs endeavours to always deliver high quality content, and loadouts as a feature required more time to polish than we anticipated.”

“The extra time we took reflects our commitment to you — the player — to deliver a highly polished feature that wasn’t rushed. At the end of the day we want the best possible experience for Slayers, everywhere.”
