Project Gorgon's Post Kickstarter Plans Unveiled

Having successfully raised nearly 375% of its initial goal, it's time to find out what the team at Elder Game plan to do with Project Gorgon now. A backer update posted the other day lets us in on the details.

The most important detail people are probably looking for is "how much longer can I play for free?" The servers will remain free for another two to three weeks, as the team sorts out collecting backer surveys and activating backer accounts manually. After that, only backers will be allowed to play. They do plan to open up some manner of being able to pay post-Kickstarter, however, likely through their business' PayPal account, to the tune of the final price of $40 per account. The backer discount given during the Kickstarter does not apply.

Late October, the game will hit Steam Early Access and the only way to play will be through Steam. It was previously revealed that have not ruled out a Steam-less client, but for the time being, Steam will be your only option.

As for the game itself, the next update is planned to occur within the next few days. It will feature a rewritten movement system and the first pass at guilds, among other fixes.
