Project MNP Formally Revealed As MapleBlitzX, Closed Beta Begins August 9th

Remember Project MNP, the new MapleStory mobile game that was revealed in February? Nexon announced earlier today that the game is now known as MapleBlitzX, as confirmed by the game's official website.

The game is a three-lane strategy game in which players must choose one of four characters and take to the battlefield, where they will play cards that summon autobattling monsters and cast spells in an attempt to defeat their opponent. It appears to be quite a bit like a three-lane, MapleStory-themed Clash Royale. The cards even appear to have levels, in addition to their "mana" requirements.

A Closed Beta is planned for August 9th to August 15th, although it will be exclusive to Korea. There is no word yet on an international release.
