Razer Converts Lines To Manufacture Surgical Masks, To Donate 1M Masks To Help Combat COVID-19 Virus

razer neon green logo bannerAs the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic continues to run its course, the demand for personal protective equipment (PPEs), like surgical masks, has risen exponentially. Unfortunately, manufacturing companies, especially those in China, are having a hard time keeping up the demand and most frontline medical personnel are now short on supplies.

In an effort to help in the fight against the virus, Razer has stepped in and offered their services. Razer is known for manufacturing gaming peripherals such as keyboards, headsets, mouses/mice, mousepads, and more. But, in light of the current COVID-19 situation, Razer CEO Min-Liang Tan has decided to repurpose some of their manufacturing lines to produce surgical masks and has promised to donate 1 million masks to healthcare practitioners all over the world.

I know you’re all dying to ask the question: does it come in the signature Razer black? According to Tan, they’re trying to get the masks out as fast as possible and will be standard designs for now. “[. . .] Once we have more time… maybe? ;)”

Hopefully, more companies follow in Razer's footsteps. Kudos to you guys.
