Robocraft Launches Full Spectrum Combat

Robocraft's latest update Full Spectrum Combat has launched in an attempt to "drastically widen the array of game modes, weapons and cosmetics available." The first of several major expansions, Full Spectrum combat "lays the foundation for a cleaner robot creation and destruction experience." Today's update sees a move to Unity 5, with a promise that they will "[leave] no toaster behind" when it comes to optimization, and several other major changes.

The core of this update is the Paint Applicator pictured above. Players can use up to 16 colors as they free roam around their vehicles and spray the paint on. Features such as mirror painting and "full robot" color fill are also included.

Battle Arena, Team Deathmatch, and The Pit are now unlocked for all players, regardless of level. The team is trying to remove the tiered system currently in place. The goal is to allow players new and old to play in the same matches without any imbalances in equipment existing.

"Passive component and armor regeneration" have been introduced. Taking a page out of the book of modern shooters, injured players can now fully repair their robots by avoiding combat for a short period of time. The idea behind this addition was to reduce the amount of time players spent going back and forth between battles and their base for repairs.
