Shroud Of The Avatar Launches Star Citizen Cross-Promotion

What happens when Shroud of the Avatar: Forsaken Virtues and Star Citizen, two of the most successful crowdfunded games of all time, work together on a cross-promotion? Apparently this. The first 250 players to purchase the $65 Star Citizen Aeronaut Helmet Starter Bundle and the first 150 players to purchase the $400 Star Citizen Airship City Home Bundle will receive access to and/or in-game items for both titles. The Aeronaut Helmet Starter Bundle contains the first episode of Shroud of the Avatar, 50 extra bank slots, the Star Citizen Aether Aeronaut Helmet for Shroud of the Avatar, and the Star Citizen Mustang Alpha Starter Package. The Star Citizen Airship City Home Bundle will grant Shroud of the Avatar players the Star Citizen Airship City Home pictured above, as well as a Cutlass Black Starship in Star Citizen.

It's an interesting promotion and, for what it's worth, you get approximately $20 off the base price of both titles when purchasing the Aeronaut Helmet Starter Bundle, along with a few extras. The real question is if there is enough crossover between the two communities for the cross-promotion to sell well.
